TWO-DAY ABSTRACT PAINTING COURSE

FULLY BOOKED

EndedQueens Hall, Narberth, PEMBS SA67 7AS

DESCRIPTION

Booking is via the 'Book Now' button at the bottom of this page. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING I will take you through the process I used to create my DREAMSCAPES abstract painting exhibition in April 2019. I'll show you methods for building up impact through instilling your work with the right balance of energy, contrasting colour-play, and dynamic use of light. This is a two day workshop where you will work on multiple pieces allowing for drying time in between distinct layers. We will be using a range of equipment including brushes, palette knives, rags, fingers, and gloves. We'll be working in acrylic paint and mediums on paper, canvas and canvas board. WHAT IT INCLUDES The price of the workshop includes all materials & equipment (except brushes), tuition and refreshments. You are welcome to bring your own kit as well as brushes but it is not necessary. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING You’ll need to bring suitable clothes and an apron if you have one. Essentially I do not supply brushes - this is because they are easily damaged and always best looked after by their owners. Please bring along a range of large brushes including: a 1-2” paint brush (this could be a good quality decorators brush), something like a number 8 long filbert and a number 4 long filbert. WHERE TO BUY BRUSHES: The brushes I have suggested above are all available from West of Wales art supplies on Market Street in Haverfordwest (see Jeff). You can also get them on-line.
