DESCRIPTION
Four-week course on the 12th, 19th, 26th Apr and 3rd May 2024 10am-2pm on a FRIDAY A small group course (4 max) Suitable for confident beginners and anyone wanting to improve their creativity, expand their general art knowledge and techniques. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING We'll work on a single face exploring different methods and mediums to capture colour, tone, expression, form, and features. We'll draw and paint, and get creative working at scale at easels, on the wall or floor. We'll finish with a self-portrait first observed from a photograph and then, if appropriate, from life. WHAT'S INCLUDED The price of the workshop includes tuition, venue and all materials & equipment except brushes and you will also need to bring along an A5 or A4 sketchbook and have access to your choice of drawing medium (pencils, pens etc) for sketching at home. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING You’ll need to wear suitable clothing and bring a hand towel and refreshments including lunch. Please bring along a range of brush sizes including bristle and soft brushes. For this kind of work I find bristle filbert and soft round brushes most useful. See Jeff at West of Wales Art in Market Street, Haverfordwest for good value brushes and sketchbook and any advice you may need, or message me for more details. https://wowartsupplies.co.uk *NB: Course structure may vary according to the needs of the group or artistic preference of the teacher
