WORKSHOPS & COURSES
ABSTRACT PAINTING WORKSHOP
Tap into your subconscious, play with energy, colour & light.
- Starts Nov 26Starts Nov 26
- 60 British pounds£60
Six places max in socially distanced work spaces. Suitable for anyone who has already done my colour workshop, anyone experienced in colour or confident colour beginners. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING I will take you through the process I used to create my DREAMSCAPES abstract painting exhibition. I'll show you methods for building up impact through instilling your work with the right balance of energy, contrasting colour-play, and dynamic use of light. You'll work on multiple pieces allowing for drying time in between distinct layers. We will be using a range of equipment including brushes, palette knives, rags, fingers, and gloves. We'll be working in acrylic paint and mediums on paper, canvas and canvas board. WHAT IT INCLUDES The price of the workshop includes all materials & equipment (except brushes), tuition and refreshments. You are welcome to bring your own kit as well as brushes but it is not necessary. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING You’ll need to bring suitable clothes and an apron if you have one. Essentially I do not supply brushes - this is because they are easily damaged and always best looked after by their owners. Please bring along a range of large brushes including: a 1-2” paint brush (this could be a good quality decorators brush), something like a number 8 long filbert and a number 4 long filbert. WHERE TO BUY BRUSHES: The brushes I have suggested above are all available from West of Wales art supplies on Market Street in Haverfordwest (see Jeff). You can also get them on-line.
You can cancel your booking with a full refund up to one month before the course or workshop start date. After this point refunds will be at Louise's discretion and will depend upon your place being filled by another participant. Please note that the price shown is per person and that the session requires at least five participants for it to go ahead. If for whatever reason this session is postponed or cancelled an alternative date and or workshop or course will be offered.
