Exhibition Description:

Julie Christine Gannon is holding an exhibition called URBAN from Saturday 7th August to Sunday 8th August at Stiwdio 1, The Queens Hall Narberth from 10:00AM to 2:00PM.

 

The paintings in this exhibition were created by Julie during the Lockdown of 2020 to 2021. 

 

During Lockdown Julie was, along with everyone else, unable to travel and instead found herself painting her experience of that frightening time in her hometown of Pembroke Dock. 

 

These paintings are very different from the bright, light filled paintings of sea and sky that Julie is known for creating. These paintings are darker and explore the urban isolation and claustrophobia that many of us experienced during the worst of the Covid 19 Pandemic. 

 

These paintings demonstrate Julie’s versatility as an Artist and the range of her talent in responding to this new world.
